Swagman E-Spec 2-Electric Bike Platform Rack Review - 2017 Winnebago View Motorhome- Video
Howdy there neighbors, Ian with Etrailer here. Got our Swagman E-SPEC on our 2017 Winnebago View, let's get right into it. And this rack is rated for and designed for E-bikes, but will carry your normal bikes. If it's not put on an RV, it is an 80-pound capacity, on your RV, you're gonna be looking at 70 pounds per bike and getting into how the bikes themselves are gonna be held on this rack, we do have this hook that's gonna go over the top of the frame. Get into a situation where your E-bike or maybe a lady's bike or something's gonna have a different type of frame where this isn't gonna reach to it, you may need to get a cross adapter for it. We do sell those on etrailer.com as well if you'd like to check 'em out. more

Hollywood Racks Destination 4 Bike Platform Rack Review - 2017 Winnebago View Motorhome- Video
Hey there, Ian with etrailer here, with the Hollywood Racks Destination 4-Bike Bike Rack on our 2017 Winnebago View. Let's take a look. Some key features on this is it is one of the few options you're gonna have for four bikes, opposed to just the two or three, which is most common you're gonna see. Another feature is that this will allow for alternative frame bikes or children's bikes as well, just because there's multiple tie-down options for just the wheels and single point that's adjustable here on our posts. With this rack, each bike can be up to 35 pounds, so you've got your four total on that. It does allow for a 48-inch wheelbase as well. more

Yakima LongHaul RV Bike Rack Installation - 2018 Winnebago Forza Motorhome- Video
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Yakima Long Haul on the back of our 2018 Winnebago Forza. The Long Haul is a hanging style bike carrier and one of the easiest and cost effective ways to get four bikes on the road with you on the back of a RV. What makes the Long Haul special is the fact that it's reinforced at the shank to handle that up and down force that you're going to experience going down the road on the back of your Winnebago. On the back of our Forza here, you can see that overall your lights are not gonna be blocked, but your license plate will be obstructed by that mast going up. So depending on your location, you may or may not need to relocate that. As far as your reflectors and your exhaust, you're at a pretty good space where you don't have to worry about blocking anything out. more

Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer Installation - 2021 Winnebago Vista Motorhome- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look at installing the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer on a 2021 Winnebago Vista. A steering stabilizer is a pretty simple method of making sure that your wheels track straight, and it's accomplished by mounting up to the tie rod. That way, when you steer, it's either gonna compress the spring or bring it back to center by pulling it. So no matter which way you turn, it's gonna wanna always bring it back to that center, so that way, it's tracking straight. So when you make those turns or if you're hitting any crosswinds, big bumps, or uneven roads, that steering wheel's gonna kind of track straight forward for you. more

SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs Installation - 2020 Winnebago View Motorhome- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs for the rear axle on a 2020 Winnebago View. Now, taking a look at the factory jounce bumper compared to our SumoSpring, you can clearly see the difference, and this is where that sway control really comes into play because as we're leaning on our vehicle, this takes a while to engage, hit the axle, and then kind of fight against it, where this one's gonna engage pretty quick, not really letting the vehicle sway much. And so it's gonna fight against it on both sides, just kind of closing that gap. And also, it's contoured to the axle, so that's pretty nice. Definitely the difference here is just gonna be how quickly it engages, and that's really gonna prevent your suspension from sagging down and being overworked. more

Lippert Solera Slider Slide-Topper Installation - 2021 Winnebago Minnie Travel Trailer- Video
Hey guys, it's Jake here with Etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Solera Slide Topper. Now the biggest benefit of adding a slide topper to the top of your slide is going to be to keep the elements and leaves and all kinds of debris off the top of your slide. A lot of manufacturers do not include them when they produce the RV and you might be looking for a replacement for one that may be broken or damaged on your current RV. The biggest thing that they're gonna do is, as you can see, it's gonna be a essentially a awning that's just over top of your slide and it's gonna unroll with your slide so that when you're camping at a campsite with leaves or if you're camping during the winter, any of that stuff is gonna stay off the top of your slide. And what this is designed to prevent is especially when it comes to leaves, acorns, any of that stuff that falls from the trees, bugs, other debris that's sitting on top of your roof, a lot of people think that the seal that is on top of your roof to keep your water from getting inside your camper, they think that's designed to scrape off all that stuff. more

SumoSprings Maxim Rear Helper Springs Installation - 2020 Winnebago Vista Motorhome- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at installing the SumoSprings Rear Helper Springs on a 2020 Winnebago-Vista. And this is what your SumoSpring is gonna look like when it's installed on your chassis. And it does have to be drilled into the frame for your top mounting plate. But the bottom bracket just simply bolts around your leaf springs. And this is gonna create a cushion between the frame of the vehicle and the leaf springs, and just help absorb a lot of the shock that your factory suspension just doesn't handle very well. The big thing with RVs like this, as you drive them side to side, you're gonna notice a lot of sway, and on the freeway, you may get wind kind of blowing you back and forth, and this is gonna help stabilize that, because it creates a larger, it fills this gap essentially, whereas your factory jounce, it's pretty small, and it takes a lot for it to finally compress enough for it to bottom out before you feel anything. more

Yakima RV and Camper Bike Racks Review - 2022 Winnebago Forza Motorhome- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Yakima LongHaul hanging bike rack. This is gonna be an RV rated bike rack which means you can carry this with your 2022 Winnebago Forza motor home. So with this bike rack, there are not that many. There are a good amount of bike racks that are rated for motor homes, but they have to be extra sturdy because there's a lot more sway in the back. So the LongHaul is definitely designed for that feature but also compared to some other RV bike racks this takes up less space and is a bit more affordable. It's also a hanging rack though, and that has its downsides. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look and installing these SumoSprings Front helper springs for coil suspension on the front axle of a 2019 Winnebago Travato. Now, the ProMaster 3500s, you see a lot of times, as work vans or delivery vans, but you can see here, we have it in the van life configuration. And so, either way, you're gonna have weight associated with it, and that really means that this already fairly tall vehicle just feels a little bit more top heavy. And as far as steering, it's kind of numb from the factory, and adding weight's just gonna make it that much worse. So, adding these is not only going to just fill the void in the spring, and really help supplement it, it's gonna just give you that better overall handling, and just better steering feel throughout, not only just parking lots, but out on the highway, and that's kind of a great thing to have, and especially in something like this. It's kind of a big sail out on the highway, so if you can kind of reduce some of that sway side to side, it's gonna be a great addition, and you're really gonna notice it every time you drive. more

Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System Installation - 2021 Winnebago View Motorhome- Video
Hey guys, this is Jake here with etrailer. Today we've got a 2021 Winnebago View and we're gonna be installing some Timbrens on it to help with the rear suspension. A big question we get here at etrailer is how can I control the body roll or limit it in my RV Well, Timbren is just one of the many suspension enhancements that you can put on your RV because what'll happen is because an RV is so tall, you're gonna have a lot of wind that's causing body roll, bumps in the road, sharp turns. That's all gonna cause the vehicle to rock side to side and that can be a really uneasy feeling. Adding these Timbrens, they're going to replace your jounce bumpers on your motorhome and they're going to engage much faster than the jounce bumpers would have to. The springs we're installing today are gonna be a progressive spring and what that means is the more and more they compress the harder they're gonna work to eliminate that body roll. more

Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2016 Winnebago Spirit Motorhome- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar on a 2016 Winnebago Spirit. Upgrading your rear sway bar to a thicker version like we have here on our Roadmaster is gonna make a big difference when driving the vehicle. Now your standard sway bar does a pretty good job of holding the vehicle in a nice, even fashion. So when that suspension leans to the other side, the sway bar just pushes back and centers it up, and having a thicker bar to be able to do that means that it's gonna be centered up a lot quicker. It's not gonna lean as much, and, overall, it's just gonna reduce driving fatigue, because you're not having to fight the steering wheel as those gusts of wind come across the highway or, if you pass a truck, this is really gonna help with that experience, and the great part about something like a sway bar, or any suspension components is, every time you drive it, you're gonna feel it working, and you're really gonna enjoy it, just because you'll have an overall better driving experience. Now comparing our Roadmaster sway bar to the factory one, you can see pretty quickly that this is much thicker gauge steel. more

Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2016 Winnebago Spirit Motorhome- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar on a 2016 Winnebago Spirit. Having a thicker front sway bar just means that there's gonna be more resistance to that sway. And not only will you notice it just in turning and parking lots or just small low speed maneuvers, but the main thing that you're really gonna notice is on those windy days out on an open highway as those wind gusts come around or as you're passing semis. Instead of the vehicle going back and forth, this is gonna help stabilize it. And that's gonna translate to just an overall easier driving experience. You're not having to fight each time. more

So why don't you just gimme kind of a general overview of how it felt to drive your motor home prior to the steering stabilizer and the sway bars. Okay, well, generally anytime I was going down the highway whether it was a truck going by or just bumps in the road, I was constantly doing this, just fighting to keep it in between the white lines. And some roads we're pretty good, but some of them we're really awful. And with the trucks going by, depending what the winds we're like, sometimes it was pretty hard to keep it in the lane. And there was a lot of swaying back and forth too. more

Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer Installation - 2017 Winnebago Vista Motorhome- Video
Hey guys. Kevin here with etrailer. And today I'm gonna be showing you how to install the Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer here on our 2017 Winnebago Vista Class A motor home. If you experience a lot of wandering when you're going down the highway, maybe you have a lot of high crosswinds or when a semi comes by, it starts to kind of push you and you really have to fight that steering wheel back and it's kind of just a little bit too hard or harder than it should be. Then what you're gonna wanna do is install the Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer. This steering stabilizer has a nitrogen gas filled shock in the center of it, so there's no more big, heavy coil that's gonna be sitting on there that you'll have to deal with. more

Before we get started, what we like to do is just some before and after, you know that way we can compare our ride quality before we put the front Sumos on and after to see if it makes a big improvement. Now in the past I've done these quite a bit with stock pipe suspension and they make a big difference. I'm really curious with our particular setup here today though because we've already done some work to it in the past it has some upgraded components, a swaybar, a steering stabilizer and everything else. more

Hi there, Winnebago Owners. Today in your 2005 Winnebago Adventure, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install SumoSprings for the rear axle. And this is what our SumoSprings looks like when it's installed. You can see that the bracket is a custom fit for this chassis, as it will line up with the factory jumps bumper attachment and it will connect right on there on one side. And on the other side, it actually lines up with factory holes that are already there present. So you don't have to do any drilling really with this setup to get these installed. more

SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs Installation - 2005 Winnebago Adventurer Motorhome- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today, we're taking a look and installing SumoSprings Front Helper Springs on the front of a 2005 Winnebago Adventurer. Now, if you hop under your Adventurer and you see these factory jounce bumpers, these do an okay job, but the problem is it takes quite a bit before these engage and with all that time of engaging, you're getting sway and kind of a top-heavy feel when you're driving your RV. So that kind of gives you a little bit numb steering feel, your braking won't be as good, and just overall, it just feels a little bit vague and numb while driving. The SumoSprings are gonna be a little bit taller and they actually do a really good job of being progressive, meaning once they compress, they're gonna get stiffer as you lean more on them. So they're gonna contact quicker, reducing that sway immediately, but as you turn harder, they're gonna fight back and really give your suspension a fighting chance and you're gonna feel that in the steering wheel every time you make a turn. Now with our Sumos installed, you're gonna notice pretty quickly once you lower that front down to get that axle back to normal height that there's not a whole lot of gap under here where these Sumos are gonna rest, especially compared to our factory jounce, and that's a good thing, it's going to initiate quicker and just there's gonna take less gap here for that sway to allow before engaging, and something else I'll point out is if you look at the factory jounce bumpers, these are hollow inside here. more

Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar Installation - 2012 Winnebago Journey Motorhome- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar on a 2012 Winnebago journey. Now the Avail is a really nice tow bar as far as weight capacities go. This one comes in pretty heavy duty at 10,000 pounds as its capacity, so for this F-150, that's plenty. Really anything that you plan on flat towing, even in the future, this should keep up with it pretty easily. Now it is non-binding, which is a awesome feature to have and kind of the new standard of most tow bars. But really other than that, it's really no frills and that's not a bad thing because it's heavy duty, it's easy to use, it does come with these safety cables and it's just gonna work. more

Hi there, Winnebago Owners. Today on your 2019 Winnebago Minnie Travel Trailer, we're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to install Fastway's E2 weight distribution system with sway control. Fastway's e2 weight distribution system is not only gonna provide weight distribution properties, but also anti-sway properties, due to the friction that the bars have against the L brackets that you see here. You're gonna get your traditional weight distribution because of the load on the bars, and you can get these bars in different weight ratings. We're using the 10k edition, which has 1,000 pound rated bars, which is for if you had a thousand pounds of tongue weight. Our trailer's a little bit under that but it doesn't hurt to go a little bit higher on your bar to make sure you have enough. more

Now this is a platform style bike rack capable of holding up to two bikes. It's gonna hold them in these wheel trays with two straps on either wheel at the bottom and our primary method of holding it up top with this frame clamp. Frame contact is gonna mean a couple things. With our carbon frame bikes, we probably will want to avoid using those because it can damage the frame. more

Now the SuperClamp is a bike rack a platform style bike rack, holding the bike in these cradles and primarily by the wheels that's gonna mean zero frame contact making it good for carbon frame and alternative frame and with a 60 pound weight capacity per bike, good for your e-bikes too. And that's really significant because this is also motor home approved. It's important to get a bike rack that's motor home approved because you have extra shock and vibration back here compared to your typical passenger vehicle. And typically finding a bike rack that's rated for that and e-bikes is a little less common. more

Hi, everyone, Aidan here with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE here on our 2016 Winnebago Spirit motor home. This is going to be a really solid platform-style bike rack designed for e-bikes. Now, I say platform-style, that means it's being held in these cradles and this one is being held by the frame with this frame hook up here. The frame hook is gonna mean that we probably want to avoid carbon frame bikes 'cause that will damage the frame and alternative frame bikes are probably gonna need a bike adapter bar to make sure this hook gets a good grab and a good hold on the bike. Otherwise though, it's gonna be a really nice setup because right outta the box, it is gonna work with your e-bikes. more
